We combined materials to make lots of things.
We designed a city to fit all our wonderful creations and later used it to write a story!
Shape Challenge: using playdough and toothpicks to make 3D shapes.
Visit to Grade 1 Classrooms in preparation for bigger and challenging experiences.
We watched the story of the 3 little pigs. Then decided to try to build our homes using straw, wood and bricks to test if we could 'huff and puff and blow the house down!'
We are all Superhero! But superhero's wear capes.
We tried on capes made of different materials to find out which was best suited for a superhero.

Our mummies will love the cards we made! We used 2 materials to make it special for our mummies. We made the paper to make the card and used clay to make pendants!

Properties of Materials:
So now that we know which materials are waterproof, we designed our own boats to see if it sinks or floats in water!
After seeing and hearing it been made we got to eat the popcorn. We had so many words to describe a popcorn! We can use describing words in our writing and when we are retelling our stories after reading.
We are the class of K2 consisting of 5 and 6 year olds. Our teacher, Ms Smita, facilitates our learning through inquiry and lots of fun!
