A fantastic International Day at ISS! We viewed the Parade of Nations, some drama performances, and visited 4 different county rooms - Japan, China, Malaysia, and Australia. The day ended off with a delicious international food buffet. Everyone looked amazing dressed up to represent their home countries.
UOI - How We Organise Ourselves, central idea, 'Cooperation is essential to achieve team goals.'
This week we revisited our unit on cooperation and team work. We brainstormed ideas on why cooperation is important, what is a team and when do we work in teams. We also looked at working independently versus working as a team and reflected on which worked better. One group said, "It was tricky working in a team because we had try and remember what our role was in the team and also it is very important to listen to each team member." One group said, "It got the job done faster working in a team than working by yourself."
Maths - This week we have been continuing with shapes and symmetry. We looked for symmetry in objects around the classroom and also in our faces.
Welcome to our K2.1 blog! I'm really looking forward to sharing your child's journey throughout the year! I will update this blog every week during the academic year. This blog will let the ISS community know about the great learning that has been happening and about up and coming events.
