We have been thinking about what our roles are in a team and how important these are to achieve team goals. We have been playing games that help us to learn about cooperation, taking turns, share and understand team roles. It was great fun playing 'The web of friendship,' The human pretzel,' and making a 'Maze' for our friends to solve. Maths - We have been continuing with measuring capacity using non-standard unit of measurement.Literacy - We have been working on checking our writing to see if we can spot the capital letters, full stops, finger spaces are in the right place and check if the writing makes sense.

This was our last week of this UOI and we have been helpful with our interactions with living things by taking positive action. We walked around the campus and checked the bird feeders we made last week to see if the birds have been eating the seeds. If they have been eaten, we would top it up with more food. We noticed that most of the seeds were not eaten and we thought about the reason as to why this is the case. Some students said it might be because it was not hung in a suitable place or maybe the birds were scared of the children in the playground or maybe they could not get to the seeds. We decided to leave the bird feeders for another week to see if there will be any changes next week. Our focus was responsibility, causation and change when we planted the cress seeds last week. We had to make sure we looked after these plants as we wanted them to grow into a healthy plant so that we can make a cress sandwich. It was our responsibility to find a suitable place for the plant, water it and take care of it. If we did not water it or take care of it, then our interactions would not have been helpful to the plant and it would not grow into a healthy plant. We were very lucky, all our cress seeds grew well and we enjoyed harvesting our plant and making a sandwich with the cress. It was very yummy! Maths: |
