We had great fun playing team games this week. We played, 'Tug of war,' 'Pass the ball' and made sand sculptures in two teams. One team made a sand shark and one team made a sand castle. We also made a beautiful mural about 'Space.' We all decided what our role will be when making the mural. We worked together as a team, we cooperated and we listened to each other. In Literacy, we have been focusing on our word work to build our vocabulary and comprehension when reading in our Daily 5's sessions. In Maths, we have been counting and comparing numbers. 'Double compare,' game was fun. We had to pick two cards and make the largest number we could think of and then compare who's number was bigger. If you had the bigger number, you win that round and take the cards. The winner was the one that had the most cards at the end of the game. We also worked on counting accurately and recording in different ways using maths objects in our classroom.
