What an exciting week we have had! We have been learning so much about teamwork, co-operation and communication through team games. All of the children in K2, got together on the field to play ‘Line Soccer.’ We co-operated and worked together as a team to score a point. Another team game we learnt, was the ‘Lily pad’ game. The goal was to get our 4 team members, from one side of the playground to the other without falling off our lily pads. We were only allowed to use 5 lily pads. It was so much fun! soccer line Videos: https://youtu.be/TgyxGeOGsXI https://youtu.be/JLm38SJhmCg https://youtu.be/wi7fFPj3dlI https://youtu.be/sd6Q4U6vtxk Lily pad game video: https://youtu.be/6p8eRp88z_Y Literacy Maths Friday's House Fun Run!

Our first two weeks of school have been very exciting! We have been busy settling in, learning our class routines and getting to know all the teachers. Last week, we collaged our names, painted self-portraits, started our journal writing and set up our Safari park role play area, suggested and created by the children! This week, we have started our Unit of Inquiry 'How we organise ourselves.' We discussed what it means to work in a team and to co-operate. We asked them, when do we work in teams? The children came up with great ideas and during the week they had many opportunities to work as a team! I would like to say a big 'Thank you' to Anthea (Thalia's mum) for being our 'Mystery' visitor today and also for volunteering to be our 'Class Parent.' |
