Our first two weeks of school have been very exciting! We have been busy settling in, learning our class routines and getting to know all the teachers. Last week, we collaged our names, painted self-portraits, started our journal writing and set up our Safari park role play area, suggested and created by the children! This week, we have started our Unit of Inquiry 'How we organise ourselves.' We discussed what it means to work in a team and to co-operate. We asked them, when do we work in teams? The children came up with great ideas and during the week they had many opportunities to work as a team! I would like to say a big 'Thank you' to Anthea (Thalia's mum) for being our 'Mystery' visitor today and also for volunteering to be our 'Class Parent.'

Hello Sharyn! The children came up with lots of sports games where people work in a team e.g. netball, football, baseball, cricket, basketball. In class, they said ' tidying up' together, making the jeep for our safari and acting out the different roles of people and animals in a Safari park!
