Should we sit at home and watch TV or go out and play? Viggo: Should go to the waterpark. Zoe: Should play with friends. Ashritha, Tyler and Ceyone: Go outside so that we can exercise. Advaith: If we don't go out we will not have friends. Should we sleep on time? Vivaan: We should get enough rest. Zoe: We need energy. Advaith: If we don't sleep we will be tired. Leya: Big bad wolf will eat if we don't sleep. Viggo: We can play with our friends in the morning if we sleep. Leya: Eyes will be spoilt. Should we eat chips ar carrot? Leya: Chips will make us fat. Reika: We can eat it sometimes. Anjali: We should eat carrot. It is good for our eyes. Healthy or Unhealthy? We then sorted foods in healthy and unhealthy category. Measuring length We measured the length of out friends and compared it with each other. We noted that Ashritha is longer than Anjali when she is lying down. Ceyone is longer than viggo when they are lying down. Measuring capacity: When Ms Smita showed us a container and asked us what we could measure with it, we said: milk, sugar, flour, water, juice, bunch of petals or flowers, honey, ink. We knew some words connected to capacity like full and empty. We learnt some new ones like half, quarter, almost full/nearly full. We noted that half is two quarters put together and almost full is three quarters put together. It was so much fun in the sandpit and the water tub, to fill our containers to full, half, nearly full, and empty it. Mystery reader!
We all became detectives! We were given several clues to solve who was going to be the mystery reader! We solved the mystery and found out it was Sammy's mum who was going to read us a story. She read us the book 'Topsy Turvy'. We could not stop laughing at all the things that turned upside down. We then used our creativity to make or draw something Topsy Turvy!
